Introduction

Welcome to the Aivancity Build with AI 2026 Hackathon! Organized by the Tech Club and sponsored by Google Developer Groups (GDG), this is a fast-paced, 8-hour mini-hackathon. We are bringing together students to solve real campus problems using AI. Most hackathons ask you to imagine a solution; this one asks you to build and deliver one.

Location: Aivancity, La Grande Ecole De L'intelligence Artificielle Et De La Data, 151 Boulevard Maxime Gorki, Villejuif, 94800.

About the challenge

Join us on Saturday, April 4th, 2026, for a great day of building! The theme is "Student Life, Supercharged."

Your mission is to create a working app or AI tool that solves a specific problem for students. This could be about managing homework, navigating campus life, mental health support, making friends, or staying productive. If something frustrates you as a student, it is worth solving!

We care about usefulness more than complex code. A simple app that works perfectly is better than a complex app that is broken.

Get started

  • Register: Make sure you have already registered for the event on the official page here
  • Find a Team: Teams must have 2 or 3 people. If you do not have a team, do not worry, you can create one at the event.
  • Prepare: Read through the starter templates we provide and come ready to build. We will give you Google Cloud sponsor credits, snacks and food to keep you going!

Requirements

What to Build

You need to build tools that students will actually use in their daily lives. The primary goal is to walk away with a working prototype by the end of the day.

What to Submit

At exactly 3:45 PM, all coding must stop. Your team must make a submission to this very platform: Devpost.

Your submission must include:

  • A description of the problem and your solution that uses Gemini API or was built using Google Antigravity

  • Screenshots or a short video of your app.

  • A link or instructions so judges and students can test your live app.

Submissions close at 4:15, after which the audience and judges will vote on Devpost too. Only the Top 8 submissions will go on stage to give a 3-minute live presentation.
